Job Description

We are seeking a shipping clerk to join our team! We are looking for a person who is good at multi-tasking and standing on your feet most of the day. This person needs to be able to work in a fast pace environment. We need a reliable person that can show up to work every day. We are a family-owned company that values their employees and because we are a smaller company, it is very important to us that the person be here every day. After 3 months you will receive benefits which include an HRA benefit. The hours are 7:00-4:00 Monday through Thursday, and 7:00-1:00 on Friday.

Responsibilities

Job duties include packaging and weighing items, invoicing, applying payments, printing shipping labels and postage, keeping accurate records and will also assist our support department when necessary. LaPorte Prodcuts, Inc. manufactures and ships boat covers, boat shades, storage bags, sandbags, webbing straps, umbrellas and more. Maintain and work with vendors such as UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, and USPS.

Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable for being on time and ready to work with excellent record of attendance
• Applicant must be highly motivated
• Able to work in a team environment
• Accountable for their own actions
• Willing to be trained and receive instructions
• Self-directed when warranted
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of working a consistent schedule starting at 7 a.m.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to spend long periods of time standing
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Professional Customer Service
• Work full-time Monday-Friday
• Pass a drug and background test id requested
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
